Our Story
Steeped in history, The Prince of Wales has stood proudly at the heart of charming East Barnet Village since 1876.
As the last remaining pub in the village, Heartwood Inns are committed to preserving its legacy while bringing a fresh touch to this much-loved local landmark.
Heartwood Inns firmly believe in the warmth and power of community pubs such as this one and maintains this time-honoured tradition with a commitment to serving excellent food and drink in stunning surroundings.
Following a thoughtful refurbishment, The Prince of Wales now combines historic charm with Heartwood’s signature style, creating a vibrant community hub.
Found on Church Hill Road near Oak Hill Park, front and centre of the bustling high street, there is nearby street parking available.
Our Pub

Our dedicated Heartwood Inns design team has worked hard to make The Prince of Wales feel like a home from home. Whether you fancy a relaxed lunch or a more formal dinner, the pub has a space for everyone. From intricately poised nooks to open and airy dining.
We take pride in our reputation for serving high-quality, seasonal food alongside meticulously crafted pints, a thoughtfully curated wine selection, and an enticing array of cocktails.
