Celebrating National Pet Month with us at The Prince of Wales
April is here and we are absolutely here for it. This month we’re celebrating National Pet Month and the wonderful, loyal, utterly chaotic dogs who make every visit more fun.
A warm welcome for every pup
At The Prince of Wales, dogs have always been part of the family. Pop in after a spring walk and you’ll be greeted with water bowls, free treats and zero judgment about muddy paws.
Our stick libraries are there for the browsing, and your dog is very welcome to take home a souvenir from their visit.
We’d love to see your pictures too! If your pup has a particularly photogenic moment here, please share it with us. We genuinely never tire of dog photos.

Treat your pup to something special at The Prince of Wales
Thanks to our partnership with Pooch & Mutt and the brilliant Sir Woofchester’s dog menu, your furry friend can dine almost as well as you do.
Grain-free treat pots, proper dog dinner bowls and even a dog ‘martini’ (chicken and passion fruit, if you’re wondering). It’s a full dining experience for the most deserving of guests.

Fancying a stay away this April? Our Heartwood Inns Pubs with Rooms have you (and your dog) covered
At The Prince of Wales, we’re part of the wider Heartwood Inns family and several of our sister pubs have beautiful rooms where dogs are more than welcome.
Better still, book direct at any of our Heartwood Inns Pubs with Rooms this April and your dog stays for free.
Just book directly through the website, make sure your dates are in April 2026 and add a note to say your dog’s coming along. No need to add any extras to your cart. Simple as that.
